about

ABOUT ME

With over 20 years of experience in healthcare, I specialize in acquired brain injury (ABI) and hold a Bachelor of Health and Science with a major in Leadership. I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Health Sciences. My professional practice is rooted in health equity, critical reflexivity, and system-level thinking.

I work as an Acquired Brain Injury Case Manager but have taken a temporary leave to lead a regional quality improvement initiative focused on improving access to care for individuals living with brain injury who also experience barriers related to mental health, substance use, homelessness, intimate partner violence, and systemic marginalization. I coordinate cross-sector collaboration across health, housing, justice, community organizations, and government partners at both provincial and municipal levels.

I see health promotion not only as the delivery of services but as the ongoing work of addressing structural inequities and empowering communities.

As someone with institutional privilege but without lived experience of disability, poverty, or trauma, I approach this work with humility and focus on bring the voices of individuals too often excluded from decision-making into healthcare reform. My goal is to contribute to a equitable, accountable, and person-centered healthcare system.
